Level Up Gosport has created a varied, bespoke, programme of Work EXperience initiative providers to support our youth volunteers to gain the relevant skills necessary for them to move-on into employment.

After initially joining us all young people get paired up with a volunteer organisation.
We spend time getting to know the young person and learning what their aspirations are. Our partner volunteer organisations are from many walks of life and provide a great opportunity for our young people to grow their skills in the working world.
They complete a program called the ‘STEP’ (Supported Transition Engagement Programme) with support from our partner OWL XL CIC. This helps support the young persons goals for progression.
After completing a period of volunteer work we work to pair the young person up with a work experience opportunity to match their goals and aspirations.
These programmes are in partnership with a large list of local companies and organisations. We will always make sure that the programme that the young person completes is completely suited to their skills and situation.
Once completing a period of Work Experience we prepare the young person to move into the world of employment.
This is through a number of different activities such as: advocating at Job Centres, supporting them in interviews and helping create a CV.
We will help them along the entire process and support where we are able.
Even once the young persons employment goal is complete, we’re not going to disappear.
We’ll always be there to help support them with various things that may come up, be that a quick chat with themselves or a discussion with their employer, we’re there to support them.

Level Up Gosport cultivate their own allotment, a venture which attracts up to eight youth volunteers a week.
We arrange social outings whereby our youth volunteers get the chance to chill out and just have fun.
Level Up Gosport provides specific training and workshops that are tailored to the additional needs of our youth volunteers.

A local Gosport pub – bar/kitchen, hospitality skills and general duties.
Offering dog grooming, alongside selling natural & raw foods, treats & accessories
Various public service skills within a retail environment.
Supporting the staff, children & the families at events within the Phoenix Centre, Gosport.
Horticulture – weeding, watering, planting, pruning, harvesting, plus much more.
Offering a variety of sport & leisure facilities, including swimming lessons, a gym, plus more! (this is in development).
A local community hub supporting economic and community development. Front of house, community & intergenerational involvement, alongside group-work skills.
Furniture collection for redistribution and re-purposing – customer service and community engagement.
Gardening, decorating, administration, bar work and event management.
Social media, event management and sound desk skills.
Providing vital equipment and support services for the disabled and youth community in Gosport and across Hampshire.
Who provide guidance, support and activities for visually impaired individuals – supporting meetings, administrative skills, befriending.
An independent mobile coffee van, providing excellent coffee, served by people who genuinely enjoy what they do. Public service, money handling and barista skills.
